This group is based at the cottage and is open to adults in recovery, their friends and anyone living or working in projects in the North East Inner City. To become a member of this group, people are required to complete one of our beginner courses or already have passed the canoeing Ireland level 2 skills award.
The group meets every second weekend when we go on journeys down parts of the many local rivers or take a trip to visit sections of coastline or islands.
We run a hillwalking group for adults in recovery. The group meets at the cottage every second weekend and head to the mountains in our minibus. This is a great way to get away from city stress and unwind or learn to read a map and become self sufficient in the mountains. The group currently is made up of people from a few different projects from around the city. This is free to participants and we especially welcome anyone living or or attending services in the North East Inner City
We currently run 2 adventure clubs based at our cottage at the Royal Canal Bridge on North Strand. These clubs are for young people who live closest to us in the North East Inner City. The ages of members of the 2 clubs are from 9 to 11 years old and from 10 to 14 year olds.
These clubs could not be run without the assistance of local volunteers, to whom we are very grateful.
