The Adventure Project staff & directors have been forced to take the decision to close the organisation down.
Losses due to covid and an inability to obtain insurance has compelled us to make this call.
We are all broken hearted and will miss engaging with all the amazing clients who we have gone on adventures with over the years.
We hope to be back in some form or another in the future.
Our mission is to provide the opportunity for people from marginalized communities to experience, and benefit from, the best outdoor education experiences that Ireland has to offer"
The Adventure Project is an independent non-profit organisation delivering collaborative Therapeutic programs and Outdoor Education experiences. We aim to provide challenging and meaningful experiences for clients by combining the natural environment, psychological, physical and cognitive challenges and an opportunity for self-reflection and personal motivation for positive change.
Our therapeutic adventure activity programs introduces to participants a combination of physically and psychologically demanding activities — coasteering, canoeing and climbing are some examples, most often in a group setting.
The Adventure Project run therapeutic adventure programs for young people with experience of the care system which involves the use of challenges found in nature (such as rock climbing, white water activities, camping etc) to provide growth experiences that can help people make fundamental changes in their lives.
